Info and optional extras

FRIDAY 14 NOVEMBER

Optional: Wedding eve pub dinner

  • People camping or glamping onsite can arrive from 2pm Friday (you can also just stay the Saturday night)

  • 6pm DINNER at The Prince, 48 Emily Street, Seymour

  • Food and drink at bar prices. Dress casual

  • We have a limited menu as we’re such a big group

  • Please let us know if you’re keen to join for dinner when you RSVP so we can update the booking

SATURDAY 15 NOVEMBER

Parkrun

  • Optional: Pre-wedding ‘shakeout’ 5km run (or walk!) at Goulburn River Trail Parkrun in Seymour. 7:45am arrival for 8am start. All welcome, you’ll need to register in advance and bring your printed barcode if you want to record your time

During the day: Choose your own adventure

  • We’ll be busy getting ready up until the wedding so people staying onsite will have free time on Saturday morning

  • Bring/find your own breakfast and lunch and see the local sights

  • The Tallarook Hotel has reopened recently and is excellent, highly recommend!

  • Some other lunch options that look good include Italian at the Winery Kitchen in Seymour and pizza in the Herb Garden at Trawool Estate (14 minute drive from the venue)

  • There are some nice nature/birdwatching walks around Seymour and Tallarook State Forest

  • Seymour tourism has something for everyone, especially if everyone likes war memorials and old trains

Bus to get there

  • Bus departing:

    • Big 4 Seymour at 2:20pm

    • Seymour Motel at 2:30pm

    • New Crossing Place Motel at 2:40pm

  • If you can’t get to one of these or have any questions, let us know!

WEDDING PARTY HOOTNENANNY

Rough plan as follows, FYI

  • 3pm: Ceremony in The Chalet. Music: Billy Barker.

  • 4pm: spritzes and canapés in the beer garden. Music: DJ Divebar Dave

  • 6pm: Dinner, sit where you want, tables in the beer garden and in the Chalet. Catering: Melbourne institution, social enterprise and Al’s favourite Moroccan Soup Bar

  • 7pm: (Short) speeches and cake

  • 8pm: The Country and Western Ramblers

  • 9:20pm: Casino Stepdad

  • 9:40pm: DJ Be Kind to Other People

Bus to get home

  • Bus #1 departing 11pm

  • Bus #2 departing 1am

  • Same stops as on the way there, but please let the driver know where you need to be dropped off as you get on the bus

SUNDAY 16 NOVEMBER

Optional: Recovery brunch

  • 9-11am BRUNCH and debrief at the Chalet. Dress comfy

  • Coffee, electrolytes and hot brunch provided

  • If you remember, please BYO keep cup or mug for the coffee van

  • Pack up and leave the site by 11:30am
